Poppies

Hi Guys!
I am in love with this card. LOL I know. "If I do say so myself". :-D Sometimes a card comes out just how you envision it and this is one of them.
I am using a new paper pack by October Afternoon. LOVE IT!
The digi is A Day For Daisies, one of Tammy's newer releases.

The metallic butterflies were a gift. :-)

So this week's party at Catered Crop is now on and we are being sponsored by Lawn Fawn! Be sure to check out the challenge blog for all the yummy details.

(my ingredients are in red)
  • Stamps: girls, banners, farmer, crow
  • Colors: pink/burgundy, green; jewel tone fall colors
  • Theme: Christmas or Fall
  • Inks:  Distress Ink, markers
  • Papers:  stripes and polka dots, kraft
  • Tools:  sewing machine, die cuts, circle punch
  • Embellishments:  Fun Flock, seam binding, gemstones, glimmer mists, glitter, jingle bells, lace, , burlap, twine, buttons, and cord

I also used this sketch below by All that Scraps but neglected to read the fine print and didn't see that it was SIR as well as sketch. Bummer. Anyway, it also seems to be that Feline Playful got the date wrong as well cos the collection was closed . Double Bummer.

4Ever And Ever

Hi Guys!
How has your weekend been going? Its gone downright cold here and I'm not too happy about it.
Nevermind. The sooner winter comes the sooner spring comes. Or something like that.
Today I am showcasing another cute stamp by Tina Wenke. Love these little mice but let me tell ya, that water was enough to scare anyone silly. I wielded my prismas and Lyras and did my level best. I'm not 100% happy with the water but I'm not going to lose sleep over it either. Especially not during the day.
By the way, in case you're wondering ,I haven't made up my mind if this image is supposed to be day or night. My daughter says that regardless of whether its day or night, shouldn't that moon/sun be bigger from a mouse's viewpoint? Man, don't you hate it when kids are right??

Thanks for coming by for a look!!

Fairytale Wood

Hi!
So how are we feeling today? :-D
I'm feeling much happier :-). These are my colors,(unlike yesterday's card) coupled with a happy image and little buttony brad thingamajigs. What could make a better combination?
And once again, no pressure, this was a "for fun card" that I made cos I went on a bit of a shopping spree at A Day For Daisies last week. Ok, 4 images can hardly be classified as a spree but for some days and economies it is.

Recipe:
Papers:  K&Co
Pink Ribbon: from stash

Flourish: Sizzex
Punch: Martha Stewart
Brads: Basic Grey
Colors: Prismacolors and paper piecing

A Hare Raising Time

Good Morning All!
So don't look too closely at this card. I'm really unhappy with it. Usually when this happens I find that I've used purple somewhere and so I'm unsure whether its the card or the color that makes me gag. In this case  I think its both. I loved the image but when it came to a layout (that you could SEE, since my image is so big) it became a nightmare. I toyed with the idea of starting over again but time ran away from me.
Anyway! They can't all be wonderful or you'll start hating me. LOL
This week's challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil  is: "Any Celebration or Holiday".
I took the "any" quite literally and made a "happy everything" card.
Hmmmm....that ribbon really is ghastly. Why did I do that?
OK, stop looking at it! *slap*

My recipe:
Paper: from stash
Image: Mo Manning
Ribbon: from stash
Buttons:from stash (Yup, I'm really diggin out the barrel here)
Colors: Prismas

OK! So that's my offering today :-)
I'm sure I'll be back real soon with a post to cover this one up! Until then, happy crafting!

Just For You

Hi Guys!
Well I hope you're not sick of me yet. I know I've had several posts this last week and
 here's another one! :-)
I hope everyone's weekend went well. Its cool and sunny here, about 60-65 degrees. I just fed my ducks who are happily playing in the pond while my daughter kayaks. We haven't lost any ducks in a good month or so. Quite an accomplishment. But the turtles are lazy in the fall, that's why....
So what do you think of this Nellie Snellen cutie? I like the cat. myself. Looks like he's saying "Me! Me! OOOh, pick me!" :-)

A Day For Daisies

Well I thought today was a good day for daisies. :-)
I was blog hopping earlier this week and saw all of Tammy's new releases at A Day For Daisies and couldn't resist. It's not often that I make a card 'just for fun' and it was time.
I just loooooove sweet images like this.
The challenge this week at ADFD is "doodling", so I tried my hand at that, just making a squiggle frame instead of my usual stitching. (But I had to sew the inside panel cos my card would be naked without it. )

My recipe:
Image: ADFD
Colors: Prismacolors (where applicable)
Banner dies: Whimsy
Ribbon: from stash

And the inside which I kept pretty simple

Challenges:
ADFD: Doodling
4 Crafty Chicks - Marker it Up (don't know if doodles count)
Art Impressions Stamps Challenge - - Lace (I used paper)
Crafty Ribbons - Ribbon and Lace
Crafts and Me -Blue, Green, Pink
Forever Friends - must include animal
Karens Doodles - Animal Antics

Made In Heaven

Hi Guys!
Well this week at Mo's Digital Pencil we want to see your FAVORITE Mo image.
Its a bit tricky cos if you're like me you have lots of favorites. :-)
This is one of my favorites. I used it last year and a lady saw it on my blog and special ordered two for two of her friends. She also chose the sentiment, which I just printed on the computer.
So these are the results.

I would like to play along with
Digi Doodle Shop's Best: purple and green

Hi Dorcus

WOW!!! Had a look at the website and so glad that you pointed me to it, it's great. I loved so much of it, it was difficult to find a favourite as I can see soooo many uses for all the utilities, loved teh calendars, books and the papers; although my ultimate favourites were the Digital Scrapbooking Kits, great for beginners and advanced scrapbookers alike. Your pages gave fantastic examples too - they're brilliant, you should be very proud of them, they are true treasures. I was all so impressed with the My Memories Website for it's scrapbooking that I have told a friend of mine who runs college classes here in England and she is going to tell her students about it as she thought it was so good (hope that's OK). Ooh and I've liked the Facebook and twitter; how could I not, LOL. Thank you once again.

Congratulations Kazbee!!
Email me and I'll get your software 'virtually' packed up for you! :-)
