Life's Ups and Downs

Good morning everyone!
Today's card I made for one of my bestest buddies, Stacey.
Her feline crafting companion, Cody,  is in a rough way and while you could say, "It's just a cat", he's far more than that to those who know him.
He's one of those cat's with attitude.
 You know the type?
He has the color markings (black and white) that make it look like he's sneering at you and saying to himself,  "what a hopeless idiot". lol
Anyway! I thought Stacey could use some cheering up so I chose my favorite cheer up colors:
yellow and orange. :-)
(You'll probably see alot of that this winter. I HATE gray days)
I am using a digi from Nicecrane Designs which you can purchase here
A close up:

And the sentiment which I thought up all by myself! lol

By the way, Ignacio over at Nicecrane designs has a special surprise going on:
Whoever comments on this post will be entered into a prize draw to win the complete set of Nursery Rhyme Stamps!!

Enjoy your day!

Good Morning!
Today I am using Nicecrane's "Tweedle Dee" digi stamp.

New Journey

So I've been a little prolific lately. What am I supposed to do? My daughter is doing 7th grade math in the livingroom and I have to be quiet. So what's a mom to do? Mop floors? No, that's distracting. Bake cookies? That's even more distracting! Put dishes away. Very noisy.
 I'll tell you what.
I'll craft!
Why didn't I think of it before? :-)
Today's card is using Mo Manning's "thursday's child" which you can get in the shop here
I have colored here with the usual, prismacolors.
Punch: Martha Stewart
Gems: Recollection
Paper: K&Co (I think)

The sentiment is from Raindrop Echoes

I would like to enter this in:

Charisma Challenge: one for the girls
DP2 challenge: flourishes and swirls. (It's there, I'm just cheap!)

and of course I'll be posting this on the dream team's blog which you can check out

Okay, time to go get something done around here!

CAS Cards

Good morning everyone!
Well, as you all know, I am not usually the CAS kind of girl. As much as I do appreciate the CAS look, it's not something  I do much of myself.  BUT.....
a fellow DT member, Sylvia did such an awesome CAS thank you card this last Sunday that I was inspired.
So simple but so beautiful. You really need to check out what she did here so you'll know what I'm talking about. :-) Hers is SOOOOOO much nicer!
I used her card as inspiration for mine. (without copying, which wouldn't be playing nicely!)

My sentiment is from raindrop echo designs

And below is yet another CAS experiment of mine.
Sometimes it's nice to have a card or two to give away that didn't take you two hours to color!
I'm using Inkadinkado stamps here and cuttlebug embossing folders on both.

close up of the sentiment. I used nesties to frame it.

My blue card fits these challenges:
Scrap Creations: Blue and White
Incy Wincy: blue and white
paper Playtime: Thank You

Have a great day!

Baby Cards ~ Lollipops and Sugarsticks

Hello Again everyone! It's MEEEEE
Today I want to showcase two more of the lovely Lori's designs.
You can check them all out here at Lollipops and Sugar Sticks

I have used papers by Heidi Grace and paper pieced both cards today. I used copics for their skin and shaded the paper pieced bits with prismacolors. I also used pencil for their hair.
The sentiment is by raindrop echo designs
Isn't he cute? Like a little pea pod.

And below is his big bratty sister! just kidding.
" butter wouldn't melt in her mouth", which is quite true seeing as she has no mouth! lol)

And a close up of the princess...
had some trouble with the slippers, don't look too close. can I just say that glitter glue takes forever to dry????

That's it for today!

The Pixie Cottage ~ Let It Snow

Hi!
Do you know, I almost forgot to post today's card?
Whoopsie.
THis is my last card as GD for The Pixie Cottage whose theme this week is Let It Snow!
Thank you, Michelle for letting me crash your party this month!

I'm using all sorts of miscellaneous supplies from my stash on this card so I don't dare try to guess what they are as I'm bound to get it wrong!
I do know that I used prismacolors on Artish's image,  nesties, and recollection silver adhesive beads.

The sentiment was simply printed on the computer. :-)

Thanks for coming by for a visit!

Wedding Notelets

Well I had quite the project going on today!
A friend of ours got married over the weekend (but out of State so we didn't go) and I've been racking my brain wondering what to get them for a gift. I didn't feel like getting the typical set of towels and besides money is really tight right now so I decided on making a thoughtful set of notecards.:-)
You know, so they can thank all the people that bought them towel sets! lol
By the way, these cool nestie frames are available from  Raindrop Echo designs
I made some cards of each color:
Black and White

Red, Black and White:

And Red and White:

My finished 15 notecards:
doesn't look like much does it?

Those measly, beastly 15 cards made this colossal mess below:

My table's not so bad. I'm always careful to sweep all my bits onto the floor!

So, I hope they'll like it.
I'm not terrifbly confident of my clean and simple cards but sometimes it has to be done regardless!

Thanks. I "kneaded" that!

Hi Guys!
Today's card is one of my favorites. I'm a litle slow sometime at discovering things and believe it or not I only just discovered   A day for Daisies  digi site.
OMGoodness, her stuff is soooooooo sweet. Today's image is a case in point.
What's not to love here?

It actually reminds me of when I was little. We lived in the deep country in Vermont (no electricity) and a barn full of cats, rabbits, chickens etc. I was like the pied piper. Every cat had a name and I would call and they'd all come running and follow me around the yard, some perched om my shoulders like parrots.
Yes, I could tell some stories! lol
Anyway!

My recipe:
Image: A day for daisies
Colors: Prismacolors
Sentiment: my own
Dps: DCWV
bling: assorted form my stash

I hope you all have a great day!
PS) In case any of you think I'm a horrific speller, the "kneaded" was intentional. Here in the States we say that cats "knead" you with their paws.

I would like to enter this in:

a day for daisies: gratitude with homeade sentiment

Sentimental Sundays ~ Thanks

Hi Guys!
This week over at Sentimental Sundays we're looking for cards giving thanks.
So that's pretty doable isn't it? We all need lots of those kinds of cards on hand in case someone decides to bake us some cookies or something. Ok, that doesn't happen very much! lol!
Maybe if we send them a really nice card someone will be moved to bake us some cookies!

My Recipe:
Image: Whimsy
Dps: assorted
Sentiment: Raindrop echos (the ticket)
Colors: Prismacolor Pencils

Isn't he cute?

And a close up of the sentiment panel...

I hope you can join in this week. I'll be looking for you! :-)
Thanks for stopping by~
